Display app widget on Shopify 2.0 themes via App block

Shopify 2.0 theme provides a brand new function called App block. You can select our app’s widget to showcase on your theme via this App block.

Steps to manage

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click Customize.
3. Select the page you want to add an app widget. For example, choose Homepage.
4. Click the Add section button.
5. Scroll down to App section > Select our app.
6. In the Shortcode box, enter the shortcode of the app’s widget you want to showcase on the Homepage.
7. Drag&drop this App block to the expected position.
8. Click Save to finish.

Question: How to get the app widget shortcode?

The shortcode of each widget will appear in the Product widgets window:

NOTE:

When you add an app widget to the Product detail page or Cart page, you have an option to select the default app widget directly (without entering the shortcode).
